We popped along to Little Sunshine's Pre-school this afternoon and surprised Manager's and Owners Faye and Leigh with the first donation
from Village Professionals.
They were more than happy to accept the donation and look forward to treating the children to some new resources.
Both Leigh and Faye, have promised to share with us all, how they spend the donation and we look forward to hearing how they have used it .
If you wish to donate directly to Little Sunshine's for their next big project - a much needed Toilet block extension- please contact them directly via their Facebook page in the first instance.
This afternoon we also donated to Upwell Village Hall. We donated via their online banking due to the Hall being closed at this time, due to current Covid restrictions.
The Upwell Village Hall is about to under go some major refurbishment within the building, to bring the building up to scratch for when they are ready to reopen.
This will involve Electrical and Heating works., amongst some other improvements.
I am sure that we all wish them well with the future works and look forward to when the hub of our community can open and service the needs of all that use it.
If you wish to book the Hall in 2021 and beyond, then please contact the Hall directly.
Welle Tidy is an volunteer litter picking group that has been set up in the villages of Upwell and Outwell. The aim to create a litter free community in which we can all live.
The volunteers spend countless hours out picking up litter , that has been dropped and discarded by less thoughtful members of our villages and generally making the villages of Upwell and Outwell a nicer, more picturesque place to live.
We at Village Professionals have decided to donate some hi-vis waistcoats to allow the volunteers to carry on this amazing work safely and are seen to be seen.
We would like to say a big Thank You the volunteers for there countless efforts in making OUR home a better place to live.
Martin has been a visible figure in the Village for a long time, even if you don't know him, You have most probably seen him sitting on the River Bank at his newly built platform. Built slightly bigger than normal, to aid the safety of his students.
Martin has decide to put his time back in to the community to help others , especially Kids and this at Village Professionals is something we love... Giving Back.
Here is Martin in his own words ...
"My biggest pleasure in life has been angling so I am going to spend my retirement giving kids the chance to try angling
Also those who have started the chance to improve
I am a qualified angling coach with a 1st4sport national certificate
All this is voluntary there is no charge for it."
We at Village Professionals have decided to donate to Martins Fishing for Kids and this has allowed Martin to purchase some more equipment needed for the Kids.
We would like to say a big Thank You to Martin for his continued support of the next generation within our community.
